NO IT DIDN'T. All it did was create some pieces of rock, some big some small. Now what created the planets in their bare form were collisions. Baby Earth and baby Venus were flying around in space and two giant rocks and smashed into earth which caused it rotate into anticlockwise direction with great speed which led to creation of Earth  and very strong  magnetic field which made earth easily defend against sun's harmful rays.
